I had an Indian Sitar for many years, travelled with it in the late 60’s through Chile, South America, later it was damaged by the police in Ecuador. In the 90’s I took it with me to France where the gourd became damaged for the second and final time. I had to let it go. I discovered my beautiful Celtic Bouzouki in Cornwall, UK and on the anniversary of Ravi Shankar’s birthday, improvised this short “evening raga”. She is still with me to this day, now in Walmer, Deal, Kent, where she features in some of our short poem-films x
