these fractured clays – a poem-film

https://youtu.be/iXz9DBbhXDE

A poem-film to do with environment, history and place.

Images are of sections of land, after excavation, at this site-specific project in Suffolk, where
the remains of a previously unknown medieval settlement were found. This hundred acre site, formally farmland, is now associated with offshore wind developments off the Suffolk coast.

Note: ‘Clays’, in religious and literary contexts, represent the mortal human body as distinct from the immortal spirit.
